I am so sorry that it has been basically a lifetime since I've been on here (ok, maybe not, but I'd like to think you all are very dramatic about me being gone) - life gets in the way, ya know?
So I never actually finished the 5 Halloween Re-Do's because there has been so much going on in my world, that there just wasn't time to get them in before Halloween actually arrived! No worries though, I'm sure you all had a perfectly creepy and fun Halloween, and know that I've got the jump on it for next year with two more projects ready to go.
With that said, let's jump right into it and move on to Thanksgiving! We're flying back to Florida this Thanksgiving to spend the holiday with our families, so {thankfully} we don't have to host a dinner! We just get to eat and enjoy everyone - now THAT is something to be thankful for ;)
Rob's parents are hosting an engagement party for us that Friday as well, and we've got some beach time and venue touring scheduled for the rest of the weekend - I'm so excited! 4 days of family, food, and wedding planning with my man <3
For those of you who ARE hosting a Thanksgiving meal (or bringing dishes to a pot-luck), I've rounded up some delicious-sounding side dishes from other bloggers that have a little more flair than your usual yams, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.
Enjoy!
Pecan, Bacon, & Blue Cheese Green Beans by Whitney Bond
Mashed Potato, Chedder & Chive Waffles from Joy the Baker
Roast Pumpkin with Feta & Honey by Not Quite Nigella
Roasted Maple Sprouts with Hazelnuts by Deliciously Ella
Spicy Honey Roasted Pumpkin Slices by Mom Foodie
Hope you get to try some of these this Thanksgiving! And if you do, let me know how they turned out for you (and more importantly, let the creator of the recipe know that you loved it!)
Happy Fall Y'all <3
